Should the law protect foetuses that women want to carry to term? Too many slippery slopes in this bill I think. It also provides a platform for zealots to re-launch pro-life litigation in the courts. Oi...there are going to be pictures of dead babies alllll down university crescent again.... Should make the unpleasant ride to work more so.

I would oppose this bill, as it would make a slippery slope to criminalizing abortion.
I don't think a seperate charge is even necessary. Although I could be wrong on this, since attacking a pregnant woman is a particularly heinous crime, I wouldn't be surprised if judges already use their flexibility in sentencing to give those who do so harsher sentences.
