I have an interesting thought...

Now, this is concerned with the earlier topic of prayer in the legislatures. But this is a different take on it altogether.

Think of it this way...

Prayer...is kind of like masturbation.

Now, why would I say that? Isn't that kind of messed up?

Prayer and masturbation have a few things in common.

1. For one, both of them have a benefit towards those that enjoy partaking in the activity.

2. Both are supposed to be private matters, just read the bible.

3. Some people do it more than others. Some people abstain completely, some people do it five times a day, although usually not the same people.

4. They both take roughly the same amount of time, if you are serious about it.

I'm working from this angle; those elected officials that enjoy praying can easily pray:

1. Breakfast
2. Lunch Break
3. Dinner
4. Before bed

Or pretty much ANY other time then when they are on the job.

Do they REALLY need to do that FIVE times a day? Or can they just do their business on their own time.

Praying in the legislature is just like whipping it out, and whacking one off. Do you REALLY need to do that NOW? Why can't you wait to do that at home? Is the need to get it out SO great, that you can't wait a couple of hours to do it?
