So, I see the posters for the annual Does God Exist event are going up... Not much info at the moment, just big black things that look like they used a lot of toner that say DGE Coming Soon.

I take it we pretty much are all on the same side here... I think it might be cool to organize an after-party or some sort of discussion (we can call it DGNE - Does God Not Exist?) afterwards in a more informal setting and amongst ourselves and regular students instead of listening to other people debate.

Did anyone go to last year's?  What were your reactions?

So that's what those signs mean! I've been trying to figure it out for a few days now....

Who is this event hosted by? It could be interesting if we went as a group. And I like Brian's idea of some kind of after-event.

Yeah, I had no idea what those signs meant either... So I ignored them, I hate advertising that is intentionally vague. I have no idea what they're going for there.

It's hosted by Campus for Christ. Here are some actual details: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=19131005245

I have spares exactly when this event is on (Wednesday 11:30 - 1:30), so I'll definitely be going. An after event I dunno, I have classes that day; perhaps we can discuss it at that week's Friday meeting?

As a note, the atheist, Tim Schroeder, teaches at the U of M. If we agree with his views (i.e., he wasn't cherry-picked by Campus for Christ) then we should approach him about giving us some talks or possibly being our faculty advisor.

Is it just me, or do those signs have the lowest information to toner ratio ever?

Did we have any thoughts on the after-party at the last meeting?  If we were to do it, I have classes so I wouldn't be able to attend until 4:30.
